Career Development for Young Ontario Musicians

In association with Jeunesses Musicales Canada (JMC), Jeunesses Musicales Ontario (JMO) offers career development assistance to Ontario singers, composers and instrumentalists who are in the early stages of their careers. Touring opportunities and professional engagement provide valuable stage experience and boost national and international exposure.

Musicians who benefit from JMC/JMO support are typically between 18 and 28 years of age.

JMC/JMO support may include:

• performance, presentation and promotional coaching
• concert and tour opportunities
• opportunities to compete in the annual Montreal International Musical Competition
• awards and scholarships (administered by the Jeunesses Musicales Foundation)
• opportunities to participate in the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra or the World Youth Choir

Each year, JMC/JMO invites Concert Project Proposals from young classical musicians for General Audiences and Young Audiences.

Auditions related to Concert Projects proposals are held in Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto.
